SHORT BIOGRAPHY Kent was born and raised in North Carolina. He attended and graduated from NC Schools for the Deaf. After completing high school, he attended and graduated from National Technical Institute for the Deaf (NTID) in Rochester, NY with a degree in Data Processing (now called Applied Computer Technology). Kent moved to Washington, D.C. and began his federal service with National Park Service, working in personnel and administrative offices, performing administrative and computer duties, and other responsibilities. He later moved to John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington, D.C., as its administrative and computer support specialist. In 2001, Kent left the federal service and came to Gallaudet as a full-time student, majoring in Business Administration and minoring in Spanish. While at Gallaudet, he worked part time for the Tutorial & Instructional Programs, Office of International Programs and Services, and Academic Technology's Video Library Project. He has also completed Study Abroad programs in China, Spain, and Central America. He graduated summa cum laude with Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration in 2006. Kent currently is taking graduate studies as a part-time student in International Development while serving full-time as an eLearning Facilitator for Academic Technology. He currently lives in Silver Spring, MD. Kent invites you to come by and visit eLearning Lab in the lower level of the library, MLC Room B220.
